Heading back West

Last we left off, we were on our way to Milwaukee. One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the catering service that was provided for us at the venue. Typically, we get the standard pita and hummus (no complaints here whatsoever. WE LOVE PITA AND HUMMUS)… but… Turner Hall set us up with some of the most wonderful food we have had all tour. Sure our dressing room was the kitchen, but hell, we had a barista. It was heavenly.

Milwaukee sure likes their beer ;) We had loads of fun here!

The next day we traveled 6 1/2 hours, in the snow, to Minneapolis…

The audience reception at the beautiful State Theater absolutely blew our minds. We sold 600 CD’s that evening. That is definitely a record for this tour, and one I’m not so sure we will surpass any time soon. We were in shock! We did not anticipate such a mob at the merch table. It was wonderful!

Unfortunately, we didn’t package enough CD’s for the night, and we ended up selling them straight off the spindle they came on. Thanks to those of you who graciously purchased the case-less CD’s we were selling by the end of the night!

It’s safe to say that we will be back to Minneapolis!

We stayed at a Double Tree that night. It was my first time at this chain, and so it was my first time experiencing the complementary cookies. Genius idea if you ask me!

My pillow said sweet dreams! The Wolfgang Puck coffee in the room was delicious. I think I like The Double Tree. Priceline wins again!

…………………

Today was a day of travel! We managed 11 hours. We stopped in Bismark, North Dakota for a dinner break at a restaurant that Yelp named ‘the best burger in town’. The Wood House was unlike any diner we had ever been to. You literally order your food by the phone that is at your table.

After dinner, we did a little late night driving. Currently, we are somewhere in Montana. Another long day ahead of us tomorrow as we make our way to Vancouver.

Right now I can’t sleep. Yesterday I ran out of floss, therefore tonight I am floss-less. The sign in the room says that if you have forgotten any essential toiletry items, that the front desk would be more than happy to provide them for you. I went down to the front desk. Apparently floss isn’t an essential toiletry item. Too bad, so sad.

For me, it’s almost as bad as going to sleep without brushing your teeth.

I feel gross.

Must. Try. To. Sleep.

Night!
